About Us
The Hong Kong Society of Advance Care Planning is a non-profitable organization established in December 2025. The Society is originated from the research works led by Professor Helen Yue-lai Chan, The Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Over the past two decades, the team has pioneered advance care planning in the medical and social service systems of Hong Kong and several cities in mainland China, and has continuously developed various communication frameworks and educational resources that are tailored to Chinese culture. The Society aims to serve as a platform for exchange and promote the understanding, acceptance and professional development of Advance Care Planning.
